Descripción
Sikacim Fibers 6 is a specially treated multifilament polypropylene fiber, designed and produced for use in concrete and mortar. It comes in the form of wicks composed of multifilament polypropylene with a surface agent. It is distributed randomly within the mass of concrete or mortar, forming a very uniform three-dimensional network.
CHARACTERISTICS
The addition of this product reduces cracking due to surface shrinkage in mortars and replaces the reinforcement intended to absorb the stresses that occur during the setting and hardening of concrete, providing the following advantages:
- Reduction of shrinkage cracking and preventing its propagation
- Significant increase in the toughness index of concrete
- Improves impact resistance, reducing fragility
- To a lesser extent, it improves tensile and compression resistance.
The action is purely physical, not affecting the hydration of the cement.

HOW TO USE

Application Notes/Limitations
- It does not reduce the traceability of the concrete, although by visual observation it may seem that way.
- It does not replace the main and secondary reinforcements resulting from the calculation
- Never add directly to the mixing water
- The addition does not prevent cracks resulting from poor sizing
- The addition is compatible with any other Sika additives.
